But points earned from purchases or our Refer a Friend program need a little processing time. These hang out in your Pending Points section on your My Rewards page while we make sure orders are shipped and not canceled or returned.

For referrals, your 100 bonus points will stay pending until your friend’s order ships. Once everything’s good to go, those points will automatically slide into your Available Points, ready to be redeemed for more bookish goodness
